When I was younger, like many other people I got told that my parents were getting a divorce. My parents were very young when they got together and got married half way into college. When they told me and my sisters about the divorce I was pretty young so I didn't exactly know what was going to happen but then I soon realized that my life was going to change in a huge way, holidays became hectic, my parents fought about everything possible, and they were each dragging me and my sisters into all of their problems. I started getting older, and as I got older I understood more but also got angry about the way they changed our lives. Being angry brought me to question: why do so many divorces accure in this day in age? Getting a divorce used to be a rare thing that happened, but in today's society almost every older individual has been married and divorced before. I question maybe people have just gotten careless about people and they just settle for "the now" because it is socially acceptable. People also marry people a lot more for the wrong reasons, they do not think about what the ring on their finger signifies. Soon enough marriage will be just as routine as going to the dentist and getting your teeth cleaned.

In Freakonomics I was surprised with what i was reading. Most children you see reflect how their parents were when they were the childs age but other kids will do the exact opposite of the parent. There are plenty of rich and succesful parents who have a kid that feels like they can do whatever they want so they do nothing and then people with less educated parents want to strive for excellence so they do not have to be in their parents situation, having to live paycheck to paycheck with a low income job.
I always used to think that if I worked out I would walk away feeling gross and sore and that it was a complete waste of time. I used to dread working out even though most people said that it makes you feel good about yourself and makes you happier. I thought that there was no way you could feel good about yourself after you get all sweaty and nasty, feeling like you can't move. But then I started actually working out, not just once in a blue moon. When I started working out more my body got less sore and I could handle a lot more, I truly did feel good about myself after I was done. Although you get sore, you feel so much better about yourself when you're done because you look great and feel healthy. I do not get sick nearly as much either so there are many benefits from working out, it really isn't that bad.

, do you think that the text is rhetorically persuasive? Respond using specific examples from the text as well as some of the rhetorical terms that we discussed in class.
In my opinion Freakonomics is rhetorical. In the book Levitt and Dubner say things that make you think about how you would feel if the situation was happening to you by using pathos in there passage. I think of the bagel story, if you found out that people were not paying for the bagels and you were one of the few that did how would that make you feel? Would it make you stop paying for the bagels? This book makes you ask questions to yourselves about ethics and what you think is right. Also they have a lot of facts and things to verify why we should feel the way we do using logos, in the real estate argument they showed us that if the agent was selling their own home they would make a much higher profit and sell it for a higher price than if they sold the same house for someone. Levitt and Dubner also show the decrease of lynching when the Ku Klux Klan grew older after letting people know the secrets of the KKK. By knowing how to use ethos, logos, and pathos, they know how tp pull people into what they are writing and get people interested. Although they jump around a lot from story to story, that makes it better in my opinion because you never get bored with what they are saying.

College is much harder than high school was.
- The transition from high school to college is very difficult to adapt to.
- You have longer study hours which leads’ to less free time.
- Less free time gets you stressed out and frustrated.
- When you are always doing homework and studying you get discouraged and want to give up.
- When being frustrated you make lower grades on assignments and tests.
- When you are in college you make lower grades and struggle more because of all the responsibilty you have.

Tuesday, September 11, 2012 Blog Prompt
1. Hey, I know that this may be weird for me to ask you but I have been struggling so hard to try and pull my weight with bills and everything and I almost have enough I have just been doing so much school work trying to get all settled in. Is there anyway I could borrow $20 and I will give it back to you as soon as I get paid? I will get you some chick fil a when I finally get money back.
2. Hey Mom, I have been working so hard lately trying to work as much as I can, but I also am tryign to get all of my schoolwork done before it is due also. I am trying to pay this one bill and all I need is $20. Will you please let me do some chores or something around your house so I can get $20?
3. Hey Bryant, I know that this may be out of line to ask but this month I have really had a hard time getting all of my money in order for all of my bills. I know you know that I go t oschool full-time so I can not work an ideal amount. I feel like I have not really worked as much especially in this first month of trying to get settled in with school. I was just wondering if you could maybe lend me $20 so I can pay this bill and then you can just take it out of my check total. It would be helping me out so much because if I am late with the bill I have to just pay for for a late fee. if you can help me I would appreciate it so much. Thank you.
4. Hello Mr. Gates, right now I am trying to reach for the stars and chase my dreams as a full-time student at Kennesaw State. I am getting my college education but sometimes it has its costs. I cannot work as much as I need to in order to make enough money for rent because I am at my house studying and doing homework. I am down to nothing in my wallet and have a bill that I need to pay in a couple of days. I was just wondering if you could please lend me $20 to get the bill paid off, maybe afterwards I can focus more on studying again than trying to get money for my bill.

Argument #2
"Writing with Voice" was a very powerful article in my opinion. It tells you a lot about what voice is exactly and how some people use it. I feel as though if you have voice in your paper, you are automatically making it more original than what everyone else has. When you use voice in your papers you will find it easier to write and most likely you can write your papers faster this way. When they show the paper that said "TRUST THE GUSH" on it with dripping ink it goes to show that the girl is truely writing what she feels is important. When I heard "trust the gush" I was kind of confused, but when they exlpained the meaning it made it feel very powerful and true that if you just focus and write what comes to your mind, that is the first step to writing an exceptional paper.
I believe that if someone is using voice to enahnce there paper they should get extra points. It is showing you that they are taking the words in the paper and really relating and making them their own. You make your paper so much more powerful and readable when you use voice in it. The only thing that could be questioned when thinking about getting points would be that not everyone has the same voice. Someone could be very bold about a statement they believe is true and the teacher could completely disagree, this may make the teacher bias to where she or he will not award points to you.

Freewriting Prompt
When I think of freewriting I think of a raw piece of material that will never be perfect, but it can help you get out everything you need to express. Freewriting helps get a lot of emotions out, especially if you have no one to talk too. It also is a way of writing that is more fun than normal because it is no pressure. So many people freewrite on a day to day basis with their journals and diaries. You can mess up on stuff or repeat words multiple times if you want. Freewriting is all about what you are thinking about in your head, all you do is write it down.
When I start to write I will read things over and over again until I fully understand the topic-- sometimes it takes me a while to get it one hundred percent. Then I am going to write my outline, which is one of the hardest parts in my eyes. I have always felt that coming up with the first couple sentences is the most tedious of all. After I finish doing all of that I can usually write the rest in the matter of 30 minutes. I do take a while to start on writing though because I have to stare at the page for about 15 minutes. I used to dread taking the timed writings in high school because it would always take me so long to do them. After I am done with my paper I will get a few of my friends to read over it and give me there feedback so I can fix what is needed and I make sure I get the best grade I can get.
